The Wounded Badger Patrols: What we do

Wounded Badger Patrollers 2 Wounded Badger Patroller

Wounded Badger Patrol is a peaceful, non-violent, and lawful activity, open to anyone over the age of 16yrs with no upper age limit. Those less mobile, or with disability can also become fully involved and contribute in a vital way. There really is a place for everyone who wants to protect badgers from the cull. Patrollers are asked to sign up to a protocol, which sets out how to keep everyone safe and within the law.

Since 2013 GABS (Gloucestershire Against Badger Shooting) have operated Wounded Badger Patrols in the Gloucestershire cull zone.  In 2016 these were expaned to include Herefordshire and the North Cotswolds.

These patrols have resulted in considerable success in rescuing wildlife and protecting badgers.

Herefordshire:

Meet at the furthest end of the car park away from the store front of Tesco Superstore, Orchard Lane, Ledbury, HR8 1DQ

Gloucestershire:

Longford Inn Layby, Tewksbury,  Gloucestershire, GL2 9BE

Nightly patrols will take place throughout the culling period in all three zones at 7.00 pm.

Please just come along to your nearest meeting point, or the venue where you feel you can be of most help.

You will meet a team of wonder caring and compassionate people who are prepared to keep walking to

protect our badgers!
