Please use this button below to donate whatever you can to help us continue to fight the badger cull.
Gloucestershire Against Badger Shooting (GABS) is a campaign group established by some volunteers in 2012.
The aim of our activity is to raise awareness of the scientific evidence against culling badgers as a method of reducing the spread of bovine TB. Our interest is animal welfare, and we believe that culling badgers will not benefit farm animals, because it will not make the difference the government are claiming, nor will it benefit wildlife.
Wounded Badger Patrols
In 2013, in response to DEFRA’s admission that the free shooting cull would result in many wounded badgers, we set up the Wounded Badger Patrols.
Over 500 people contacted us about joining these patrols. This number has now doubled and we have over 1,000 supporters.
To take part, every patroller is required to sign a protocol to confirm that they will only act peacefully and within the law. To ensure safety, everyone is briefed and asked to wear a hi-vis jackets whilst on patrol.
